The project started construction in June 2016 and took three years to complete. The annual sales revenue will increase by 10 billion yuan.

This is China’s first set of equipment for the production of ethylene from ethane and propane. The ethylene yield is as high as 80.5%, far exceeding the 35% yield of ethylene produced by naphtha in the traditional process. In addition, the capacity of a single gas phase cracking furnace in this project is currently the largest in the world.

After the project is put into production, the enterprises in the Taixing Economic Development Zone can achieve self-sufficiency, get rid of dependence on imported ethylene raw materials, and extend downstream to PVC, polystyrene and other products.
